The Korean Child Neurology Society (KCNS) is an official academic organization of specially trained child neurologists. The first annual society meeting was held in 1993. In 2005, the Korean Medical Academy and the Korean Pediatric Society approved the child neurology as a subspecialty and training program started. The first certificate of child neurology specialists was issued in 2007. At present, there are over 20 university-based training programs and over 300 excellent pediatric neurologists in the KCNS.
Our goal is to provide current updated knowledge and guidelines for managing neurologic disorders in children. We encourage child neurology members to achieve their academic research and foster next-generation child neurology specialists. We support the child neurology members to communicate their clinical interests and academic research. We, as a national representative, communicate with International Child Neurology Society and Asian-Oceanian Child Neurology Society.
Annals of Child Neurology, the official English journal of the KCNS, is an international journal indexed by SCOPUS.
