소아청소년 신경질환을 위한 저당지수 식사 가이드
소아청소년 신경질환을 위한 저당지수 식사 가이드는 저당지수 식사요법(LGIT)을 중심으로, 만성 신경질환을 가진 아이들과 가족이 일상에서 실천할 수 있도록 국내 실정에 맞게 정리한 최초의 실용·전문서다.

저당지수 식사요법은 혈당 지수가 낮은 식품을 활용해 혈당 변동을 최소화하는 완화된 케톤생성 식사요법으로, 치료 효과를 유지하면서도 실천의 어려움과 부작용을 크게 줄인 것이 특징이다.

LGIT는 지난 20여 년간 연구를 통해 효과가 입증되었으며, 뇌전증을 비롯해 편두통, 자폐스펙트럼장애, 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애, 미토콘드리아 질환 등 다양한 소아 만성 신경질환에서 긍정적인 결과가 보고되고 있다.

본 책은 의료진뿐 아니라 영양팀, 사회사업팀, 식품 전문가가 함께 참여해 조리 난이도를 낮추고 영양 균형을 고려한 식단을 제시하며, 간식·도시락·외식 대체 메뉴까지 포함해 실제 생활에서 활용도를 높였다.
